School-Based Therapy
The goal of our school-based services is to help students succeed. We provide consultation with teachers and act as a supportive person in the school for your students. School-based services are available for children in preschool through adolescents in high school.
School-Based Services
School-based services include but are not limited to:
- Initial consultation with student
- Consultation with teachers and other staff
- Classroom observation
Parent skills training - Psycho-educational groups; anger management problem solving, self-esteem & more
- Consultation and training for school teachers and staff
- Classroom presentations – conflict resolution, problem solving skills and more
School Consult
- We see a student up to 8 times and then make a referral if further services are needed
- No cost to families; a permission slip just needs signed by a parent/guardian
- Consult with the parents via phone. Skills building services are provided as well as triage for mental health issues
Counselor
- Mental health assessment needs completed via family insurance (all insurances accepted including Medicaid)
- Mental health diagnosis to be seen for counseling
- We will work with a student at school, consult with parents via phone, and family sessions at the agency
Case Manager
- Can see students indefinitely (school year and throughout the summer)
- No cost to families; a permission just slip needs signed by a parent/guardian
- In-school skills building, collaboration with school and outside providers
- Home visits for families who are open to it to work with parents on issues the family is facing
