School-Based Therapy

The goal of our school-based services is to help students succeed. We provide consultation with teachers and act as a supportive person in the school for your students. School-based services are available for children in preschool through adolescents in high school.

School-Based Services

School-based services include but are not limited to:

  • Initial consultation with student
  • Consultation with teachers and other staff
  • Classroom observation
    Parent skills training
  • Psycho-educational groups; anger management problem solving, self-esteem & more
  • Consultation and training for school teachers and staff
  • Classroom presentations – conflict resolution, problem solving skills and more

School Consult

  • We see a student up to 8 times and then make a referral if further services are needed
  • No cost to families; a permission slip just needs signed by a parent/guardian
  • Consult with the parents via phone. Skills building services are provided as well as triage for mental health issues

Counselor

  • Mental health assessment needs completed via family insurance (all insurances accepted including Medicaid)
  • Mental health diagnosis to be seen for counseling
  • We will work with a student at school, consult with parents via phone, and family sessions at the agency

Case Manager

  • Can see students indefinitely (school year and throughout the summer)
  • No cost to families; a permission just slip needs signed by a parent/guardian
  • In-school skills building, collaboration with school and outside providers
  • Home visits for families who are open to it to work with parents on issues the family is facing
