This November Make a Stand with HESS to End Homelessness
November 8, 2019
Every person deserves to live without worrying whether they’ll have food on their plate or a roof over their head. But instead, far too many people are forced to make hard choices between paying for food, housing, and other critical expenses. Housing and Emergency Support Services (HESS) is one of the oldest social service programs in Portage County that has been fighting homelessness and providing resources to individuals facing homelessness.
HESS provides support and emergency financial assistance to families and individuals experiencing a
crisis in Portage County. We are here to help veterans, families, and our neighbors in need.
Last year, HESS was able to serve 200 households containing 450 to 500 individuals. During the month of November help us help more of those in need. If you donate to HESS, you will be entered into a drawing to win a $50 gift certificate from Little City Grill, but most of all YOU WILL HELP US GET 1 STEP CLOSER TO #EndingHomelessness.
