A Year to Remember

We have had an amazing year! Here is a highlight of our growth and achievements in 2023.
In Jan 2023, we celebrated being at the 771 N. Freedom Street Main Campus for 6 months. This state-of-the-art facility consolidates counseling and community and school-based case management services in one location. The spacious facility, property size, and expanded services for children/adolescents and their parents/caregivers allow us to better serve our clients and fulfill our mission.
In March 2023, Children’s Advantage received the prestigious 3-Year CARF Accreditation. This accreditation is granted to organizations that demonstrate a commitment to providing high-quality services and continuously improving their programs. We are honored to receive this recognition and believe it reflects our dedication to our clients and the communities we serve.
In June 2023, we received the Raven Award for the renovation of our N. Freedom Street property. The Raven Award is a prestigious honor that recognizes outstanding achievement in the field of construction. This renovation allowed us to update the facilities while maintaining the original architecture. We are proud of the new look and feel of our offices and are excited to offer a more welcoming, professional environment for our staff and clients.
In July 2023, we relocated our psychiatry services to the Family Center located at 5968 New Milford Road. The new location offers comprehensive services, including outdoor space and co-located Early Childhood Mental Health programming. This client-centered approach provides a supportive and child-friendly environment and enables us to better serve our clients.
We also introduced a new appointment reminder system that utilizes text, email, and phone reminders based on client preferences. This new system has increased efficiency and scheduling flexibility, reducing appointment no-shows, and improving client satisfaction.
In August 2023, we conducted a strategic visioning session with the involvement of the Board of Directors and staff. This session aimed to align our organization’s vision with the community’s evolving needs, including identifying new service lines and programs to serve our clients better.
In December 2023, we successfully hosted the annual Christmas Party, providing meals, gifts, crafts, games, and pictures with Santa. The event served [specific number] children and families and was a huge success thanks to the collaborative efforts of our staff, volunteers, and donors.
2023 was a year of significant growth and achievement for Children’s Advantage. We are proud of the progress we have made in advancing our mission and improving the lives of our clients.
