Opening Pathways to
Foster Care
Foster care is a program designed to provide temporary care for children whom have entered into the foster care system. Foster Parents are asked to work hand in hand with biological parents in a teaming model with a goal of reunifying children with their biological parents, whenever safely possible.
Contracted through the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services to provide foster care services throughout the state of Michigan, Family and Community Services is consistently seeking out mature, stable, and nurturing individuals whom are willing to make a commitment to a child(ren) in foster care. While foster families are needed for children of ALL ages, we are especially in need of families whom are willing to provide for our older youth/teens, as well as sibling groups.
