Emerald Transportation provides wheelchair and ambulatory transportation services for people in Portage and neighboring counties. We offer safe, reliable, quality service to ambulatory and non-emergency wheelchair-bound clients.
Reliable Wheelchair & Community Transportation Services
We provide wheelchair transportation to and from many different locations, including physicians’ offices, hospitals, worksites and day programming, private residences without steps, rehabilitation centers, retirement centers, and chemotherapy treatments. We also partner with youth programming and provide transport for kids to and from jobs, plus a loop service for Job and Family Services. We are contracted with Job and Family Services to provide free drives to those who are Medicaid eligible. We now offer self pay rides to those who are not Medicaid eligible.
Who We Serve
We serve individuals who are wheelchair-bound and are in need of ambulatory and non-emergency transportation services. Our vehicles are equipped with secure seatbelts, shoulder harnesses, four-point chair tie-downs, and every driver has a cell phone for communication.

Rate Schedule
Every transport is different. We ask that you contact our office to receive a current price quote. Emerald Transportation also offers group rates for special occasions on an individual basis, depending on availability. We also offer self-pay trips for those who are not Medicaid-eligible.
Client Expectations
Every client should expect dependable, timely, safe transportation with a courteous driver. Clients in need of a return ride will be given a number to call for pick up. Arrival time for pick up is usually within 30 minutes unless otherwise informed when calling in.
