Veterans Housing Rehabilitation Program
Veteran’s Housing and Rehabilitation Program is an initiative launched in September 2023 by Axess Family Services, Inc in partnership with Ride with Valor (RWV), now called Veteran Housing Solutions. This program addresses critical home repair needs for low-income veterans who own their homes, marking a significant step forward in our commitment to supporting those who have served our country.
Who We Serve
We serve disabled veterans across Northeast Ohio whose income does not exceed 80% of the median income for the area they reside in, as determined by HUD. There is a screening process to confirm Veteran’s eligibility.
Modification and rehabilitation of the primary residence of an eligible veteran to include:
- Making physical modifications to accommodate the functional limitations that result from having a disability such as wheel chair ramps, bathroom fixtures, special lighting, etc.
- Making physical modifications to allow for a veteran’s caregiver
- Rehabilitation of a residence that is in disrepair
- Installing energy efficiency features or equipment when utility costs are a financial burden
- Other activities that address the adaptive housing needs of the veteran

We appreciate donations for monetary support. Donations can be made by mail, with checks made out to “Veteran’s Housing Rehabilitation Program” and sent to 705 Oakwood Street, Ravenna, OH 44266.
