What is CPST?

What is CPST?
The CPST team works with two goals in mind:
1: Empowering parents to be able to meet the behavioral health care needs of their children.
2: Connecting families with available community supports and services.
A case manager on the CPST team is an advocate, teacher, coordinator, and treatment provider all at once.
What can a Case Manager do for your family?
Our case managers are your child’s advocates! Services are tailored to your specific needs and may include (but are not limited to):
- Providing services such as anger management and teaching parenting skills
- Linking you with needed medical, social, basic needs, or educational services
- Assisting with schools, courts, legal issues, governmental, or employment agencies
- Providing support and coordinating your services within our agency
- Linking you with other service providers in the community when needed
As we said, each family’s needs are different.
If you think CPST services can assist your family, call (330) 296-5552 to schedule an appointment! The first appointment will be at our Children’s Advantage offices where a team member will assess any issues and work to determine an effective care plan. Afterward, they’ll issue a referral and a CPST worker will contact you to schedule a time and place to discuss your specific needs and make a plan to meet those needs. It’s that easy!
In their own words…
Members of the CPST team were asked what specialty they bring to Children’s Advantage! This is what they had to say:
“I would say my specialty is working with kids who have dealt with trauma as well as kids who struggle with confidence.” – Kenny
“I work well with parents. I help them, and do not blame them, in seeing their children’s issues as a family focus. I build up their strengths so they can recognize strengths in their own children.” – Traci
“I’m pretty good at community resources – if I don’t know how to help with one I can come back later that day with five different resources to help.” – Kayla
“As community based case managers we serve the entire family. I believe that with my education and my prior experience I could assist other case managers with things that they may not know how to navigate, especially with multigenerational families.” – Chelsea
Thank you to our incredible CPST team for every ounce of dedication you pour into our community!
Monica, Traci, Mary, Kenny, Chelsea, Kayla, and Stephen
We are so grateful to have you on the Children’s Advantage team!
